Privacy Policy

Last updated September 11, 2026

This policy explains what personal information RoboSTEM collects when you shop with us, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

  • Order and contact details - your name, shipping and billing address, email address, and the contents of your order.
  • Uploaded artwork - files and text you submit for custom items, which we store to produce your order.
  • Payment information - handled entirely by Stripe. Your full card number is submitted directly to Stripe and is never received or stored by us.
  • Usage data - basic technical and device information, and cookies needed to run the store (see below).

How we use it

We use your information to process and ship your orders, produce custom items, send order confirmations and support responses, prevent fraud, meet legal and tax obligations, and improve the store. We do not sell your personal information.

Who we share it with

We share only what each provider needs to do its job:

  • Stripe - payment processing and fraud prevention.
  • Cloudflare - website hosting and storage of your uploaded artwork files.
  • Veeqo and Shippo - the shipping platforms we use to rate, label and track orders. Which one handles your order depends on where it is going.
  • Shipping carriers (such as USPS, UPS and DHL) - to carry and deliver your order, and to send you shipping and tracking updates. Which carriers are involved depends on your address and the service chosen, and we may substitute one carrier for another (see our Shipping Policy). An international order also requires us to give the carrier and the destination country's customs authority a declaration of what is in the parcel and what it is worth. Order receipts are sent through Stripe.

We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect our rights.

Where your information is processed

We operate from the United States, and our providers store and process data in the United States. If you are in Canada or elsewhere, your information is transferred to and handled in the U.S. and is subject to U.S. law. We use contractual safeguards to require comparable protection from our providers.

Cookies and tracking

We use only cookies that are strictly necessary to run the store and process payments (including Stripe's checkout and fraud cookies, and a cookie that links your browser to your checkout session). We do not use advertising or analytics cookies, so there is no optional tracking to consent to. We honor recognized browser opt-out signals such as Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track where applicable.

Retention

We keep order records for as long as needed to fulfill your order and meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements. Uploaded artwork is retained to reproduce and support your order and is deleted when it is no longer needed for those purposes.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you may ask questions about how we handle it, by emailing contact@robostem.org. Canadian customers may also escalate a concern to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Children

Our store is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes and contact

We will update this policy as our practices change and revise the “last updated” date above. For any privacy request or question, contact contact@robostem.org or write to us at P.O. Box #2251, Saratoga, CA 95070. See also our Terms of Service.
